What an amazing weekend! Sunshine, smiles and sensational fundraising for the Kilgrimol Building Fund. As always, it’s the culmination of much preparation and commitment. Our volunteers have been
- knitting and crafting,
- making chutneys and jams,
- Making dog treats and collecting animal books
- collecting, washing and brushing soft toys for our soft toy tombola,
- collecting and labelling regular tombola prizes,
- sorting war themed books and
- boxing everything ready for the weekend.
- Plus Sue has been busy making her fabulous wooden garden owls.
It was a huge team effort on the Friday transporting tables, marquee and everything for sale and setting up ready for the weekend.
And on Saturday the sun shone and people generously visited our marquee and bought our products/played our tombolas! The Sunday weather was less kind but again we welcomed lots of customers. Lots of people telling us they buy their jams/marmalades and chutneys from us every year. Once again, we also had free giveaways throughout the weekend for the children; wooden aeroplane kits and 1940s themed dressing up colouring kits.
Thank you to everyone who supported us. We raised over £2000 for the Kilgrimol Building Fund. Truly amazing. THANK YOU.
