One of our Lytham Brownie leaders, Katie, is a trainee paramedic and she is spearheading our campaign to secure an external defibrillator for Girlguiding Kilgrimol Centre. This will be a valuable addition to Kilgrimol for girls, leaders, visitors and other users of the centre. It will be affixed to the building and will be available for neighbours/community use even when the building is closed. We’ll pay for the electric, maintenance and pad replacements as required. We’re trying to secure a grant for this important equipment but we’re also looking to raise funds in other ways. We’re holding a ‘Brews, Books & Bakes’ sale at 10am on Saturday 13th September. We will have a large selection of good quality second hand books for sale at a low cost, plus home made cakes and hot drinks. Please put the date in your diary!
